Doug, as a life-long Angeleno, I thank you for this marvelous piece, bringing back memories of the many terrific local anchors and reporters — including you– who influenced and educated me over the years. And, they did so, without showing me live car chases or interviewing someone I don’t know about the recent robbery or murder in their neighborhood.
